What's an Affiliate Link, Exactly?
It's a tracked URL that tells a brand's site you came from us. If you buy something after clicking it, they pay us a referral fee — usually a cut of the sale. You pay the same price either way, whether you arrive through our link, a listed coupon, or by typing the brand's URL in yourself.
This is a pretty standard way for independent review sites to stay funded without running ads or charging for access — plenty of publications work this way.
Where That Money Goes
It covers the actual cost of running this site — the time spent on ingredient research, writing, and keeping our coupon listings current. Without it, we couldn't keep doing the level of digging that separates an actual review from a marketing page.
The Firewall Between Commerce and Education
What matters most here is what affiliate revenue doesn't touch:
- The score itself. Same methodology, every product, no exceptions for paying partners.
- Where it ranks. A lower-commission product with a better score will outrank a higher-commission product with a worse one.
- Whether it's listed at all. A product has to clear our minimum bar to appear on the site, affiliate deal or not.
- Whether it gets delisted. A product that stops meeting our standards comes down, even if it's a strong earner.
How to Spot an Affiliate Link Here
On Supplements Mag, these are usually affiliate links:
- "Grab This Deal" buttons on product cards and review pages.
- "Official Site" buttons that link to a health brand's direct website.
- Links within our Coupon Finder tools that direct to verified offers.
- Short redirect links using our
/get/URL structure.
Links out to research papers, government health resources, and clinical studies are not affiliate links.
Who We Work With
We run affiliate programs with a range of supplement brands. We don't maintain a public list of every partner since it shifts over time — but the rule is simple and applies to all of them: if a link could earn us a commission, it's disclosed as one, and it's bound by everything above.
FTC Compliance
In accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), and equivalent disclosure requirements in other jurisdictions, we disclose our affiliate relationships clearly and prominently. This page constitutes our site-wide disclosure. Individual pages containing affiliate links or active coupons may include additional in-context disclosures.
